ALMA Acoustic Duo


ALMA is a versatile and innovative duo formed by Swedish-Argentinian singer Alicia Nilsson (Symphonic of Abba, Play It Forward, Joe Cocker's original Last Band.....) and German guitarist Martin Weiss (Gloria Gaynor, Chris de Burgh, Johnny Logan. ...) based on Mallorca (Spain). As performers, arrangers and composers with more than 20 years of experience, this powerful duo produces music in all styles: on the one hand ALMA compose and arrange music with many instruments, electronic and modern sounds (China Girl Show) and on the other hand for the ALMA Acoustic Duo in a strictly acoustic format with only guitar and vocals.


Half Argentinian and half Swedish, she is a singer & entertainer with a powerful voice combined with a lot of personality and soul.
Coming from a family of artists, she toured with circuses around the world for many years. In 1999, she moved to Mallorca (Spain) and started a singing career across this beautiful island.

After touring with the triumphant musical “Symphonic of ABBA“ throughout Spain and Portugal, Alicia has performed as a lead singer with professional bands and musicians all over Europe, such as the project “Play it Forward“ with the original Band from Joe Cocker.


Martin Weiss is a professional and highly recommended guitar player in the Cologne music scene. He studied jazz guitar in Arnhem-NL and played with international artists like Gloria Gaynor, Jennifer Rush, Johnny Logan, Chris de Burgh, Percy Sledge, Supremes, Brian Culbertson and Gerald Albright. 2002 he composed and produced the Latin-Jazz-album Coming Home (Blueflame Records) for his former band Hermosa. For Joy Fleming’s Eurovision-Song- Contest-album Joy To The World (Universal Music) he contributed three album tracks as a producer. Since 2005 he works as a producer and author for Germany’s best selling guitar magazines guitar and guitar acoustic (PPV Medien).
